Observation of the elastic fibers in the Pulmonary arteriole in Adult Rats has been carried out with high-fat diet for 100 days.
The following results were obtained.
1. Highest development in elastic fibers was observed in Groups Ⅳ,Ⅴ, and Ⅵ which were fed low-fat diet.
2. Scattered irregular fibers were observed in Groups Ⅰ,Ⅱ, and Ⅲ which were fed high-fat diet.
3. The Elastic fiber in order on size Ⅵ>,Ⅴ>, Ⅳ>, Ⅲ>, Ⅱ>, Ⅰ>.
4. It is believed that there was a decrease in arteriole wall function in Rats which were fed high-fat diet.
